My Aim - Fold 1,000 origami cranes

OK, time for me to start a second blog for something more specific than my other one. This one is about my oldest hobby, origami, and specifically trying to do something I have wanted to do since I was a short way into this hobby - Make 1,000 paper cranes.

I probably have made that many in my life, but have never kept them all or put more than a few in one place. Earlier this week a few people where I work started to make origami waterbombs in the hope of building a wall out of them. When I suggested using modular cube pieces, one of the guys said something about need thousands of them, and the word 'thousands' stuck in my mind.

At the moment, it's early enough in the year for me to try something like this. And with the amount of time left, when I start I need to do maybe four a day from how I calculate it to get these done in time. That's not much at all. And at the very worse, it will help me relax a bit. I'm planning to start February 1st, but before then will be doing 'practice runs' to make sure I cane keep my creases sharp.

What I want to do with this blog is track my progress as I go, and also interrupt the posts with any interesting origami things I stumble across on the way. I'll also track how I am going with this project at the bottom of each post, and put up photos as I go etc.

So here we go!

Days till I start folding: 12...
